    Hi Johnnie, that source is explicitly “anarchistic”, so naturally it’s a pretty extreme set of statements – caricature almost. I recall an HBR paper back in the 80’s called “In Praise of Hierarchy” … which was at the time already an unfashionable push-back against more open democratic management arrangements long before the age of social media.

    I find myself doing the same thing these days. Good to recognize opposing sides of any argument, but in practice all things in moderation. Hierarchical authority and responsibility as well as freer communication and action channels. And that’s true even with a “service” model …. management nearer the top “serving” the operational needs of those lower down the hierarchy – which is the way I tend to see it. With rights come responsibilities.
